Hi All--
Here's a fun post for a rainy Sunday.
We went to visit The Cousins on Friday, and brought Buddy (our new dog) with us. They live in the hills of northwestern CT-- it is beautiful up there. Buddy got along splendidly with my sister's dogs. They cavorted in the woods, and Buddy emerged looking like he had a case of the [green] chicken pox!
No fears, though-- he's made a speedy recovery!
Thankfully, the little burrs brushed out easily.

My daughter stayed on for an overnight with The Cousins, and I spent some time weeding and pruning in the garden, while Sammy worked hard at creating mud puddles, which then evolved into "Icky, Yucky Goo". He firmly instructed me that I was NOT allowed to use the hose until it got dark.
I hope you all are enjoying the end of summer as much as we are!

Oh I remember making mud pies as a child - great fun! Jxo
oops, too many spelling mistakes... this is what it should look like -
Do you know what we called those burrs when I was wee? Sticky Willys! lol I used to gather them up on walks then use them to write cheeky notes and smiley faces on peoples backs :-)
When I read the title I thought someone had actually gotten the chicken pox... that would've really sucked especially during the summer! I'm glad it was just green dog pox!
